The cost of translation directly depends on the subject matter and volume of the document. In the context of translation, there are two types of documents: standard (templates) and non-standard.

Standard document (according to translation agency classification) – is a document drawn up according to a standard model, small in volume, different mainly in document’s holder name, name of institution and stamps. As a rule, this category includes personal documents and some certificates. The cost of translation of a standard document is fixed and depends only on the target language and the source language. Standard documents include: certificates of (birth, death, marriage, divorce, name change); references containing less than 1000 characters with spaces (police clearance certificates, certificate of employment, certificate from housing and communal service, certificate from school, certificate from State Migration Service); foreign passports; taxpayer’s card; driving lisence; high school certificates, diplomas (without transcripts), and other documents, which are translated on a template basis.

Non-standard documents are documents of different types and content (specialized), which are originally drawn up for a specific person and may contain one or more pages. These can be documents of both personal and corporate nature. In addition, not only documents are specialized, but also any other texts: transcipts to high school certificates/diplomas, parental permission for the child to travel abroad; court decision, extracts, acts/powers of attorney, autobiography; notarial statements, letters of reference/recommendations, resumes/medical certificates/ reports, employment record books/receipts, estimates, licenses, agreements, contracts, agreements, statutes, court documents, etc. The cost of such documents is not fixed and is always calculated by characters.

The translation unit is a translation page. The translation (accounting) page is a special unit of measurement characteristic for the field of document translation. It is generally accepted to take one of the below typed text options as an accoutning page:

  • 1800 characters with spaces;
  • 250 words.

As for characters counting, their number is calculated according to the translation result, that is, the translated text (not according to the original document). The cost of our services is always agreed upon in advance, but sometimes it is impossible to determine the final cost of translation. In such cases, we give an approximate price and recalculate the translation cost upon completion of the project.

In the field of translation services, any written translation can be attributed to a certain subject matter (general or complex), upon which the cost and deadline of translation depend. The cost of a complex translation page is calculated due to the complexity coefficient.
